Touristic information about the situation in Cyprus

The following information was provided by the ECC Cyprus. In Cyprus tourists can make payments with credit cards and EC cards problem-free and withdraw money from cash dispensers? Sights are open as usual and potential strikes that could influence holidays of the country’s visitors are not expected. No bottlenecks in terms of foodstuffs, medications or gas have been noticed. The present tourists haven’t reported any hostilities and all is claimed to be prepared for the touristic season as usually.

 


Commission proposes new measures to strengthen air passenger rights

The European Commission today announced a package of measures to ensure that air passengers have new and better rights to information, care and re-routing when they are stranded at the airport. At the same time there will be better complaint procedures and enforcement measures so passengers can actually obtain the rights to which they are entitled.
