The carrier TAP Portugal informs its passengers concerning difficulties caused by the pilots' union strike that will cause difficulties in TAP's regular operation between may 1st and may 10th. TAP is allowing, since the announcement of the strike, the passengers to rebook their reservations to other dates, without any cost, or to cancel and request a travel voucher, to be used within 1 year on TAP flights, in order to mitigate as much as possible the effects of the strike.
The Slovakian company VIP WINGS which operated the Danube wings airlines, was declared bankrupt. We advise consumers who purchased flight tickets via debit or credit card, but never flew nor got their money back, to ask their card provider for so called chargeback that would return the money paid to the bank account. Note that in most countries banks are not obliged to carry out chargeback by law, but according to ECC CZ experience they are willing to do so.
